The 64th Street Print Shop is a community printmaking studio in the Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago. Funded by the University of Chicago and open to all, we offer free classes and workshops in letterpress, screen printing, bookmaking, and textile painting, as well as open studio hours for more advanced students. Our goal is to encourage the creation of art, build community between U of C students and artists from the surrounding areas, and take advantage of the accessible nature of printmaking to engage many disciplines in the creation of fine, graphic, and public art.
To join us at an upcoming event, please see our Workshops & Open Studios page. We look forward to making art with you.
